Description: Checks if Amazon GuardDuty is enabled in your AWS account and region. If you provide an AWS account for centralization, the rule evaluates the Amazon GuardDuty results in the centralized account. The rule is COMPLIANT when Amazon GuardDuty is enabled.

Trigger type: Periodic

AWS Region: All supported AWS regions except Middle East (Bahrain), Israel (Tel Aviv), Canada West (Calgary) Region

How to Resolve Manually

To resolve this manually, all that is required is to enable GuardDuty from your current account and region. To do this, head to the AWS GuardDuty Console and enable GuardDuty.

At the time of publication, AWS offers GuardDuty free trial for 30 days, so you can trial this service before choosing to have it as a permanent solution in your AWS landscape.
