Last Update 2 months ago

Description: Checks if an AWS Elastic Beanstalk environment is configured for enhanced health reporting. The rule is COMPLIANT if the environment is configured for enhanced health reporting. The rule is NON_COMPLIANT if the environment is configured for basic health reporting.

Trigger type: Configuration changes

AWS Region: All supported AWS regions except Asia Pacific (Jakarta), Middle East (UAE), Asia Pacific (Hyderabad), Asia Pacific (Osaka), Asia Pacific (Melbourne), Israel (Tel Aviv), Canada West (Calgary), Europe (Spain), Europe (Zurich) Region

How to Resolve Manually

In order to enable enhanced monitoring for your AWS Elastic Beanstalk running environment, you will need to first head on over to the Elastic Beanstalk console and ensure your region is selected correctly.

In the list of environments, choose the name of the chosen environment you want to remediate. From here, choose Configuration from left hand side menu.

Here, you are able to Edit the section entitled "Updates, monitoring, and logging". The first option is Health Reporting - to remediate this manually we just need to change the System setting from Basic to Enhanced.

Remember to save the changes by clicking Apply at the bottom of the page.

The Elastic Beanstalk console defaults to enhanced health reporting when you create a new environment with a version 2 (v2) platform version.
