Description: Checks whether Amazon Redshift clusters have the specified maintenance settings.


Trigger type: Configuration changes


AWS Region: All supported AWS regions except Middle East (Bahrain), Asia Pacific (Hyderabad), Canada West (Calgary), Europe (Spain) Region


Parameters:


- allowVersionUpgrade

    Type: Boolean

    Default: true

    Description: Allow version upgrade is enabled


- preferredMaintenanceWindow (Optional)

    Type: String

    Description: Scheduled maintenance window for clusters (for example, Mon:09:30-Mon:10:00).


- automatedSnapshotRetentionPeriod (Optional)

    Type: int

    Default: 1

    Description: Number of days to retain automated snapshots.


How to Resolve Manually

To resolve this manually, you will need to consider two parts of the Redshift configuration settings. To set the Maintenance Track and set the Maintenance Window, head to the Maintenance portion of the Redshift Cluster settings as shown below.

Next, you can head to the Backup section of the RedShift configuration settings to setup your backup snapshot retention period which can be anywhere from 0-35 days.
