Highlights

New Features:

  • We've introduced the Cost Savings feature within the Cost Management. This new feature allows customers to know their coverage regarding services in Savings Plans and Instance Reservations. They will also be able to visualize the coverage in doughnut charts to know whether or not you need to purchase more Savings Plans or Instance reservations. In this section, customers can set alarms with a certain frequency, specifying Accounts, Regions, Coverage Type, AWS Services, Coverage Percentage, and Coverage Period. This feature is released as experimental. To try it out, you will need to enable "Experimental Features" from the Organization Details.

Enhancements

  • We've added the experimental feature indicator. Experimental features will be marked with an orange indicator, both next to the module name and sub-menu name, if applicable. This ensures users are aware of which features are in experimental mode at all times. Activate the Experimental Feature toggle from your account settings in the Organization Details section.
  • Operations > Security Compliance > Rules: Now, next to each rule, you can find a link to the specific AWS Config Rule article in our Help Center.
  • Operations > Account Management: Now you can create an AWS account and Onboard it to StackZone all in one place.
  • Operations > Resource Management > Compute: We've added the "Scan for Malware" action. This feature allows to look for malware in EBS volumes attached to an EC2 instance through GuardDutyOn-demand malware scan.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in the Operations > Well-Architected tool when the Sustainability questions were not rendering properly.
  • Fixed a bug in Account management in which the user received an incorrect error message when trying to close an account
  • Fixed AWS Cron validation in several text boxes
  • General UI fixes and improvements.

Known Issues

  • Some (7) Config Rule links within the Operations > Security Compliance > Rules are not yet functional. These will be in place for the next release.
  • Some Remediations within Operations > Security Compliance > Rules > Actions may error in the StackZone Console upon execution.
  • Operations > Account Creation OU dropdown can sometimes list non-StackZone managed OU's when choosing to onboard a new AWS Account to StackZone. This will result in a failed onboarding, please ensure a managed OU is chosen from the list.
  • Operations > Resource Management > Identity Management menu entry, although is visible, is not developed yet.
