SSH into EC2 instances using SSM

Last Update 2 jaar geleden
In order to use Session Manager to access EC2 instances, you must ensure that:
- The instances are running the latest version (2.3.12 or above) of the SSM Agent. If they don’t have SSM Agent installed, these are the steps to install it on Windows and on Linux.
- The instance role for the instances references a policy that allows access to the appropriate services; you can create your own or use AmazonSSMManagedInstanceCore.
To open an SSH connection to an EC2 instance using SSM:
1. Open the AWS Console and go to Systems Manager
2. Go to Session Manager and click Sessions
3. Click Start Session, select the desired instance and click Start Session
4. The SSH session will open.
Note: Session Manager is available in all AWS regions (including AWS GovCloud) at no extra charge.
