New Features:

  • Settings > Users: We are excited to announce the enhancement to the User feature. You can now not only invite new users to join your organization but also set roles and assign specific access levels for each member.
    • Since documentation and some fine-tuning of the roles' permissions are still ongoing, this feature will be considered as Experimental for this release; although you don't have to enable "Experimental Features" to try it out.

  • Operations > Resource Management > Databases > Amazon DynamoDB: We've introduced the Amazon DynamoDB integration within StackZone, providing you with enhanced capabilities to manage and interact with your DynamoDB resources seamlessly. This release allows you to effortlessly oversee your DynamoDB tables, execute various actions individually or in bulk, and streamline your resource management workflow.
    • Filter by Account and Region
      • Perform Actions such as deleting tables and creating backups directly from this interface

    • Operations > Resource Management > Databases > Amazon Redshift: We've introduced a new resource in the Resource Management section: Amazon Redshift. This new feature will empower you with efficient tools to manage your Amazon Redshift clusters effortlessly, enabling you to perform various actions tailored to your specific needs.
      • Filtering criteria by "Account(s)", "Region(s)", and "Encryption"
      • Resource Table: by applying any of the above's filters you will see a table including Cluster Name, Account, Region, Node Type, and Encryption status, among others
      • Actions: you will be able to execute actions such as delete and create backups

    • Operations > Account Management: We are excited to announce the release of the Account Management feature, designed to streamline and enhance your AWS account management within StackZone. This feature allows users with the ability to invite, create, onboard, and offboard AWS accounts, while efficiently organizing them into specific organizational units.
      • Invite Existing AWS Accounts to be part of your StackZone organization.
      • Create AWS Accounts directly from within StackZone Console.
      • Onboard to StackZone and Assign Organizational Units to facilitate management across your organization's accounts.
      • Offboard an existing account from StackZone

    • Operations > Well-Architected tool: We've introduced in the Operations section V1 of the Well-Architected tool. In this first version, we will provide you with several filters to get a Pillar-Based Segmentation report, providing a comprehensive view of compliance status split by "Pillar". These valuable insights will help you to keep improving your infrastructure, working towards Well-Architected Framework best practices.

    • Operations > Resource Finder: We've introduced in the Operations sections the Resource Finder that feature allows you to manage your cloud resources. With intuitive filtering options by Account, Resource types, Regions, and Tags, you can easily locate the information you need. Interactive doughnut charts offer valuable insights into Resource types and their distribution across regions. You will be able to filter by a single tag, identify untagged resources, and save custom reports with filtered information for future reference or team collaboration. With predefined region filters and a tabular view presenting Identifier, Arn, Resource Type, Region, and Tags, ResourceView streamlines cloud resource management, providing unparalleled control and visibility for optimized decision-making.

    Enhancements

    • Cost Management and Operations bar chart behavior: You can now easily manage the visibility of specific resources within the bar chart. When viewing the bar chart, you can now click on a resource type that you want to temporarily remove from the chart. Clicking on a specific color item corresponding to a resource will instantly remove that resource from the bar chart. The removed resource's color item will be visually greyed out, providing a clear indication of its status. If you decide you want to see a previously removed resource again, simply click on the greyed-out color item corresponding to that resource.
    • Info Panel is now available in all the Cost Management sections.
    • Added a “Refresh” button to the Budgets and Account Management tables, allowing you to update the data on the fly.

    Bug Fixes

    • Added EFS, FSx, and HDD services to Cost Management > Overview > Service Individuals filter.
    • Fixed the security compliance dashboard doughnut in Security compliance: Total resource that was showing incorrect data
    • Fixed an unexpected behavior when a user deleted a draft from the Status page
    • Fixed a bug with some toggles in the console delaying 2+ seconds when clicked
    • Fixed a bug where the "Executed Remediation" was showing wrong data
    • Fixed Findings percentages that showed a large number of decimals.
    • Fixed a bug where the user was logged out from the Console after deleting a Draft Configuration
    • General UI improvements
